When Less Becomes More

I've been journaling here for almost three years now, and in that time, I have met some pretty amazing people who have become dear to me in a variety of ways, and have shared some pretty intense thoughts and moments within these very public pages.

For a while now, I've struggled with how to continue expressing myself and sharing my life here.  I've thought of everything from deleting my journal in it's entirety (which I have since come to the conclusion would be a major mistake), to taking a respite of sorts while I clear my head, to wanting to write even more than I probably should!

I've decided to continue to keep this journal ~ as well as two other private ones, but to simply modify it's content to better suit a different sort of purpose and need.  At least for now.  Because I'm finding it easier and more comfortable to keep things lighter within the walls of this space, and I'm hoping to add a little bit of warmth to those who stop to visit here as well. I was overwhelmed by the thoughtful comments left in my previous entry.  Thank you for all who stopped by and left a smile.

So (((Reflections))) is going through a few midlife changes, I guess you could say.  I will share my photos, my art, perhaps a poem or two...  Maybe even pieces of my heart every once in a while.  Thank you, to those who will stick with me regardless of what I write or how I am feeling.  Thank you.... friends.

Sweetness, you are totally accepted by me....i will take you in any form you are willing to share. If you need to vent, or talk about innermost thoughts, so be it. If you want to share a funny story or a poem you wrote, do that too. Whatever you want to share, i want to hear. I love you. You are beautiful, and i care so very much for you.

It's amazing what can happen if you just do it. Someone told me you're also doing art with the microsft paint program.

I like the light and happy feeling that you are headed to with this journal.  I think that will have a positive impact in your own life, because it will give you a very good reason to think about the good things, and share things that make you happy.  You will still have your outlets with the private journals, for the sadder times.

Changes are good. Trying new things always uplifts me, even with something as personal as journaling. Listening to our "hearts" is always a good thing too. Focusing on lighter things will, I think, lift your spirits, but also those of your readers. I love the picture in today's entry. It's so quieting; reminds me of wonderful moments shared with friends and family.
Hugs, and love too.

I considered shutting mine down one time because of someone in particular who read it. What I did instead was create a private journal for my personal thoughts. Glad you decided to stay! -Missy

I'm always going to be here for you hon, regardless. I hope you know if you ever need to talk, I'm a mere email away. I know you have a lot going on in your life and often find myself wondering how your coping....You are too dear to me to ever let you fade entirely from my life. I know I go through periods of quiet in my journal.  Sometimes, a picture is worth 1000 words, especially when you're not sure what you want to say.

That sounds like a good choice. Resist the delete, at all costs. Your words would be missed, I can promise you that :o) Just let that mid-life-journal crisis work itself out........

I have different journals to do different things for me as well.  I hope you will always feel free to express in this journal only as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.  I will still stop by to visit.
